pc games

Last week we published a guide with 10 PC games that we can enjoy completely free of charge. It was very successful, and we are not surprised, after all, many of our readers are looking for games with which to liven up the remaining days of confinement, and I know that most of you use your PC to play so here some highly compressed pc games.

That is why I have encouraged myself to share with you a new PC games guide, although this time I have focused on compiling a total of 10 games with few requirements and good graphics that are very worthwhile. Not all of them are free, but most have time and can be purchased for very little money, which makes them a highly recommended option.

It is not a good time to update the components of a PC, that is clear, but do not worry, if you are looking for PC games and you have a weak computer there are many titles from which you can choose. That selection of 10 titles is only a small part of the huge catalog that is available on numerous platforms, such as Steam, for example.

In general, almost all games released up to 2016 will run smoothly on an older PC, as long as you have a minimal component configuration that fits this base model:

  • 64-bit Windows 7.
  • Core 2 Quad Q6600 or AMD Phenom II X4 900 series processor.
  • 4 GB of RAM.
  • GTX 460 graphics card with 1 GB of graphics memory or Radeon HD 5850 with 1 GB of graphics memory.

The configuration that we have given as an example was considered mid-range in 2010 , the launch date of the GTX 400 series , so we are talking about a typical PC that is more than ten years old and whose cost today would not even reach at 100 euros.

That is the base that we have used as a reference for this selection of games with few requirements. All will work without problems on a PC that meets these minimum specifications, in fact some can even run on computers with less powerful hardware, but that level will guarantee a truly good experience.

I know you are looking forward to the list of games we have chosen, so I am not entertaining you anymore. So that you are clear if you can move it on your computer, in case it is lower than the reference PC that we have put, I will also leave you the minimum requirements of each game. Make yourself comfortable, let’s get started.

PC games with few requirements and good graphics that you should not miss

1.-Sleeping Dogs

One of the best “GTA-like” games I’ve ever seen. It does not limit itself to copying the formula of the Rockstar franchise, it seeks to go further and innovate in a very hackneyed genre, and it achieves it thanks to a unique setting, an interesting story that will keep you glued to the end and a fantastic gameplay.

If you haven’t played it, you should, it offers a lot of content and many hours of fun. One of the best low- requirement PC games you’ll find.

Minimum requirements:

  • Windows 7 or higher.
  • Core 2 Duo or Athlon 64 X2 at 2.4 GHz.
  • 2 GB of RAM.
  • GeForce 8800 GT or Radeon HD 3870 graphics card with 512 MB of graphics memory.
  • 20 GB of free space.

2.-Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2

It remains one of the best PC games for its excellent art design , good graphics, and fantastic soundtrack. The gameplay and the narrative are not far behind, luckily.

It is true that it breaks with the classic essence of the well-known Konami franchise, but the result is very good. It is worth it, do not hesitate.

Minimum requirements:

  • Windows 7 or higher.
  • Core 2 Duo or Athlon 64 X2.
  • 2 GB of RAM.
  • GeForce 8600 GT or Radeon HD 2600XT graphics card with 512 MB of graphics memory.
  • 10 GB of free space.

3.-Guild Wars 2

Not only is it one of the best PC games with few requirements and good graphics, but it remains one of the best free games that we can find today.

It has aged very well, offers a huge amount of content and we can play it without problems on the type PC that we have indicated. I remind you that this game requires a quad-core CPU to offer truly optimal performance.

Minimum requirements:

  • Windows XP SP3.
  • Core 2 Duo or Athlon X2 64.
  • 4 GB of RAM.
  • GeForce 7600 or Radeon X1600 graphics card with 256 MB.
  • 50 GB of free space.

4.-Batman Arkham Asylum

The first installment of one of the best batman franchises is also one of the best PC games with few requirements. It maintains an excellent technical invoice, a well-planned story and first-rate gameplay that allows us to enjoy a simple but challenging experience without getting into unnecessary complications.

It has very epic moments , like the confrontation with the scarecrow. Highly recommended, even if you are not a fan of Batman.

Minimum requirements:

  • Windows 7 or higher.
  • Pentium 4 3 GHz or Athlton 64 3000+.
  • 2 GB of RAM.
  • GeForce 6600 GT or Radeon X1600 graphics card with 256 MB of graphics memory.
  • 8 GB of free space.

5.-FEAR 2

The second installment of the Monolith Productions classic did quite well the tricky task of succeeding a title that became a cult game.

It keeps the focus on horror and gore and presents an interesting story loaded with scares. It offers a unique gaming experience and has not aged badly at the graphic level.

Minimum requirements:

  • Windows 7 or higher.
  • Pentium 4 3.2 GHz or Athlon 64.
  • 5 GB of RAM.
  • GeForce 6800 GT or Radeon X1600 XT 0 graphics card with 256 MB of graphics memory.
  • 12 GB of free space.

6.-The Witcher II

You could not miss the second part of the adventures of Geralt de Rivia, a character who has become one of the most famous in the history of video games after the presentation of the Netflix series.

This installment is one of the PC games with the best balance between requirements and  graphics. In addition to a beautiful technical side, it tells us a great story and offers many hours of fun.

Minimum requirements:

  • Windows 7 or higher.
  • Core 2 Duo or Athlon 64 X2.
  • 2 GB of RAM.
  • GeForce 8800 GT or Radeon HD 3870 graphics card with 512 MB of graphics memory.
  • 25 GB of free space.

7.-GRID II

This is a well-known arcade driving simulator that has become on its own merits one of the best PC games of its kind.

It maintains a very good graphic quality, it lets you play without problems, even if we have no previous experience with this type of title, and it is very well optimized , so much so that it works wonderfully on the type of equipment that we have indicated, and even in lower configurations.

Minimum requirements:

  • Windows 7 or higher.
  • Core 2 Duo or Athlon 64 X2.
  • 2 GB of RAM.
  • GeForce 8600 GT or Radeon HD 2600XT graphics card with 512 MB of graphics memory.
  • 15 GB of free space.

8.-Fallout 3

Probably the best installment of the franchise that exists today. Fallout 4 offers superior graphic quality and generally maintains the same formula, but Fallout 3 is more faithful to the central pillars of the classic installments.

Its graphic finish continues to have details that scratch at a good level, it has very affordable requirements and offers us a huge adventure that will keep us hooked for hours . Essential, especially if you like the genre (action role with post-apocalyptic setting).

Minimum requirements:

  • Windows XP or higher.
  • 4 GHz Pentium 4 or Athlon 64.
  • 1 GB of RAM.
  • GeForce 6600 GT or Radeon X1300 graphics card with 256 MB of graphics memory.
  • 7 GB of free space.

9.-Half-Life 2

With the release of Half-Life Alyx, interest in the well-known Valve franchise has grown exponentially. If you can’t enjoy that new installment but you want to return to the mythical universe created by Valve, it may be a good time to rescue Half-Life 2.

Time has passed, but Half-Life 2 has aged like fine wine. It remains one of the best PC games in history , and keeps all its charm intact, both technically and playable. It is hard to believe that he is almost 16 years old.

Minimum requirements:

  • Windows 7 or higher.
  • 7 GHz processor.
  • 512 MB of RAM.
  • GeForce or Radeon graphics card with 64 MB and compatible with DirectX 8.1.
  • 5 GB of free space.

10.-Diablo III

It had a difficult launch, but over time it has become one of the best action role-playing games for PC with an isometric perspective.

In many respects it represents an important starting point against Diablo II, but it has bomb-proof gameplay and an outstanding artwork and setting. If you haven’t played it yet you should give it a try.

Minimum requirements:

  • Windows 7 or higher.
  • Core 2 Duo or Athlon 64 X2.
  • 2 GB of RAM.
  • GeForce 8600 GT or Radeon HD 2600XT graphics card with 512 MB of graphics memory.
  • 25 GB of free space.

Having an updated gaming computer requires renewing the machine at least once every four to five years (on average, there are cases and cases), and investing an amount of money that is usually higher than the price of consoles. Access to the PC Master Race forces us to assume video games in a different way and to scratch our pockets, situations that are not always possible or willing, especially if we talk about the latter. Can you play on a computer with a low-end computer? The answer is yes, although with the logical sacrifices that not all players want to accept.
