Before the CLAT results 2023, the Consortium will release the answer key. The CLAT 2023 answer key is usually released on the next exam day. Since the CLAT 2023 is scheduled for 18 December 2022, we can expect the answer key by 19 December 2022. Only after some days are the CLAT score cards and CLAT merit list released. The candidates can now refer to the answer key and calculate their CLAT scores.

CLAT is a national-level exam which is conducted once a year. The exam aims at providing admission to undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. It is one of the most famous Law entrance exams in India.Â

Essential Details about CLAT Result 2023
- The CLAT result 2023 will be released in January 2023.

How to check CLAT Result 2023?
CLAT 2023 results will be uploaded on the Consortium’s official website. The candidates will have to visit the website to check the result. Follow these steps to prevent the CLAT results 2023.
- Go to the Consortium’s official website, www.consortiumofnlus.ac.in.
- Look for CLAT 2023 result portal and click on it,
- Using your registered mobile number and password, log into the portal.
- Upon logging in, your result will be displayed on the screen.
- Download the result for future reference.

When candidates log in through the CLAT result portal on the Consortium’s official site, their scorecard appears. However, the Consortium also releases a consolidated CLAT merit list. It includes the ranks and CLAT scores of all the candidates who appeared for the exam. It also includes their application number, name and father’s name. To download the CLAT merit list 2023, follow the steps given below.

- You will find a link for the UG-PG consolidated merit list in the notification section.
- Click on the link, and the CLAT merit list will appear on the screen in PDF form.

CLAT Cut-off
Once the CLAT scores are announced, the participating CLAT universities and institutions release their CLAT cut-offs. The candidates scoring equal to or more than the announced cut-off are granted provisional admission. The previous year’s cut-off affects the subsequent years’ CLAT cut-off. CLAT Tie-Breaking Mechanism
At times, two or more candidates end up getting the same score. Then how do we decide who shall be granted admission? The Consortium has laid out three conditions to deal with the CLAT score-tie. The procedure for Tie-breaking is a little different for UG and PG programmes.
For Undergraduate programmes
If two or more candidates get the same CLAT UG score, then the tie in the score is broken by:
- The candidate who has obtained more marks in the legal aptitude section shall be given admission.
- If the first condition does not help, then the age of the candidates must be considered. The elder one out of them all must be provided admission.
- The last resort to breaking the tie is the computer-based lottery system. The computerised lottery system chooses candidates at random, and he/she will be granted admission to the course.
For Postgraduate programmes
CLAT score ties are dealt with in the following ways in the case of PG programmes:
- The first criteria are age-based. The older one is given admission in case of a score tie.
- If age criteria do not help, a computerised lottery system is used as the last resort. The candidate chosen by the computer-based lottery system is considered for admission.
